5 Days of Happy: Day 1

Day 1: Monday.  Monday has a bad reputation.  It’s known as “Munday” for mundane and often there are sighs of bitter acceptance on Sunday evenings when one realizes they have to go back to work, school, life, etc.

For awhile now I’ve been seeing articles about “blue-blockers” helping people who use electronics sleep better. For those of us who have adopted the world of technology that we live in, this could be a solution to screen time robbing us of a healthy and deep sleep. LED Light from our devices, our TV screens, computer monitors, and even some interior home lighting emits blue light which has been proven to slow the production of melatonin in our bodies.

It turns out that napping is better for you than originally thought. Research shows napping “super-charges” our brain. As a matter of fact, Saarland University in Germany found that an hour long nap improves memory performance five fold.
